hell

the hell is like this

We’re all sinners, in our own twisted ways. Also all of us have a certain fear for the afterlife. (Well, some of us do.) What happens in the afterlife? Apparently, our Hindu ancestors have a whole book dedicated to scare the crap out of us to keep us in line. The tortures conceived in this book are not only gruesome but some are just downright creative.

Yeah, yeah we’re talking about the Garuda Puranam, all of us have seen Aparichitudu we get it. But the movie only gave us the trailer of Garuda Puranam. Here’s the real deal!

P.S. Please don’t think we are a bunch of Psycho serial killers. Please.

1.Tamisram

Punishment: Bond with ropes and flogged.
Reason: Robbery

This one is as old school as it can get!

Garuda Chai Bisket

2.Mahararuravam

Punishment: Bitten by extremely fierce serpents
Reason: Possess what is not legitimately theirs, including women.

Hmmm… I wonder who would get this one… *cough*politicians*cough*

Garuda 2 Chai Bisket

3. Kumbhipakam

Punishment: Cooked in oil
Reason: Harming living beings for pleasure

Everyone has seen Aparichutudu. But the reason in the movie isn’t too on point.

Garuda 2 ChaiBisket

4.Andhakupam

Punishment: Pushed into a well, attacked by lions, tigers, eagles, snakes and scorpions.
Reason: Oppressing good people and not helping them despite having resources.

This place is gonna be so full that it’s almost hilarious.

Garuda 3 Chai Bisket

5.Taptamurti

Punishment: Cast into a furnace.
Reason: Plundering or stealing Gold and jewels.

Dunno why it feels like this punishment has got nothing over Hyderabad’s summer!

Garuda 4 Chai Bisket

6. Krimibhojanam

Punishment: Fed to worms, snakes and scorpions
Reason: Being incredibly materialistic and selfish

Hey, just like the movie!

Garuda 5 Chai Bisket

7.Vaitarani

Punishment: Living, surviving and feeding in a river of blood hair, bones, flesh and shit
Reason: Leaders who abuse power

I don’t even know where to go with this one.

Garuda 6 Chai Bisket

8. Avici

Punishment: Thrown down a height enough to turn the person into dust
Reason: Breaking a promise

This is good motivation to keep a promise.

Garuda 7 Chai Bisket

9.Ayahpanam

Punishment: Drinking burning liquids
Reason: Consumption of alcohol and intoxicants

Two words. FLAME SHOTS!!

Chai Bisket Shots

10. Sulaprotam

Punishment: Sitting on a trident for eternity
Reason: Murder and Deception

Sounds awesome! *creepy smile*

11.Dandasukam

Chai Bisket Garuda

12. Paryavartanakam

Punishment: Picked by birds
Reason: Denying food to a hungry person

This is my new blackmail to claim Adhrak Abhi’s tiffin box.

Chai Bisket Hungry

13. Suchimukham

Punishment: Torture by needles
Reason: Being miserly

I’m should probably befriend needles now.

Chai Bisket Suchimukham

So I realized while writing this article that it isn’t easy to find pictures that accurately describe a really gruesome torture method. Also apparently, accounts of Garuda Puranam vary extensively so this is merely our findings. Bottom Line, mariI serious teeskokandi
